NOREINE was designed by famous naval architect Johan Anker and built in 1937 at the Jensen and Anker shipyard in Norway.
She is in need of full restoration.

Perhaps most famous internationally for the well know boats, the "Drake" a design with a long Olympic career, Johan Anker was one of the most influential designers in Norway. He drew and constructed a great number of boats. With Christian Jensen, he started Anker and Jensen Boat Yard, probably the most famous of all Scandinavian yards in classic boating.
Many of the best classic boats that are still sailing today came out of their boatyard.

Owners comments:
Noreine is currently on the hard and has been for eight years in the yard in the US.
I had her transported from a marina in Norfolk, VA in November of 2001.
She is covered so remains in relatively good shape.
Her masts have not been so well protected so they are likely not of value.
She can be viewed at my house any time by appointment.
Most important to me is finding someone who has the interest and financial means to do a complete restoration of her.
Looking back when I bought her I was definitely too optimistic about my own financial ability to undertake the task.

She is not a project for the feeble walleted.
Someone without the financial ability to do so is just wasting their time. She is really only going to be of value to the person who can afford to have her fully restored and truly sees the value in doing so and who has the desire to own a true classic and has the desire to return her to her true majesty.
