Guest Accommodation
The guest accommodation is laid out as six double staterooms, of
which the two aft staterooms can be converted to twin berths if
preferred. These staterooms are accessed via a companionway from
the forward part of the main saloon. There is a further cabin
forward, which has four bunks. This is suitable either for
children or for additional personal staff or crew members. Two
of the bunks can drop down to form a seat with the other two
opposite.
Saloons and dining areas
The main saloon is at deck level and has excellent light and
visibility. An adjustable size table and chairs are provided in
the dining area at the after end. Forward is seating to port and
starboard with a plasma television with DVD lowering from the
deck head to the centre. The second smaller saloon/chartroom is
situated aft of the first and is fine joinered in mahogany
panelling with round seating and a coffee table which converts
to a second dining table with size and height adjustability. The
large aft outside dining cockpit seats twelve around the table.
This area can be enclosed with a windowed curtain awning,
providing a good all weather dining area.

There are six double cabins and two aft cabins can be converted

Crew accommodation is accessed from the after part of the chart
room, or direct from the deck aft of the cockpit. There is the
Captain’s double cabin to port, with en-suite bathroom.
To starboard is a second double cabin to starboard and there are
three twin bunk cabins.
These cabins share two heads and showers. Although the crew
cabins are totally self-contained and separate from the guest
accommodation, the standard of finish and layout would not
prevent their use as additional guest cabins if required.
At the aft end is the crew mess. This has seating and tables for
eight/nine crew with DVD player, hot/cold drink machine and crew
communication VHF.

Following a total rebuild which was completed in late 2004,
Helena C has crossed the Atlantic twice and is now presented as
a brand new turnkey operation for a private owner or as a
commercial venture.
The rebuild was comprehensive – she was taken back to the hull
and most systems were redesigned and installed new. The standing
rigging is new, as are the sails, the control systems, the sail
handling, the whole interior and the navigation, communication,
entertainment, galley and laundry equipment, as well as the
tenders, toys and safety equipment.
Although Helena C has the charm of a vessel from another era,
she is to all intents and purposes new and has been finished to
an exceptional standard.
